Haleakala National Park - Part 2: Sunset and Sunrise

I recorded video of sunrise - 24 minutes. Now I need to figure out, how to downsample it to 2-3 minutes to achieve effect of time lapse.

Haleakala National Park

Truly amazing place! These pictures are from a small 10 km hike along Sliding Sands Trail in Haleakala National Park. Sliding Sands trail from crater to ocean is in my to-do list!

Other pictures from our trip to Maui are coming after tea break.

Triple Peak: ACC VI trip with Mike Springer

Triple Peak with Mike Springer July 18-19, 2009

On sunny weekend of July 18-19, 2009 group of eight summit Triple Peak (30 km north of Ucluelet). It was awesome trip with breathtaking views. Some heavy bushwacking and two bee nests happened there before we get to base camp at lower lake. We summit (1557 m) around 5 pm on July 18.

On Day 2 we took steep gully trail to upper lake and climbed unnamed peak of 1305 m between Triple Peak and Cat Ears.

Jigsaw Puzzle Mystery 1

WASGIJ - Mystery 1

We had some family fun completing this jigsaw puzzle. The trick is - what you see on the box, is not what you going to get at the end - check this out how "solved" Mystery #1 looks like. Don't check, though, if you want to have your own fun :)

Northwest Pacific Raptor Center

Last Saturday (almost on the way to Duncan swim meet) we stop at Northwest Pacific Raptor Center. It is a true attraction, very educational and unique photo opportunity. Check their web-site and stop there on your way north up on island to watch their demonstration at 1:30 pm every day. Highly recommended!
